Curs internațional | Exploration Routes

International training Unfold your Adventure is a course divided in two stages. First stage will take place in Georgia respectively Romania for the second stage. Both stages will take place in the summer of 2019, the exact dates will be announced in due course. This program is targeted to youth workers working with teens and it is intended to promote outdoor methodology in the field of youth work. Thirty six participants from eight European Countries will participate in this event.

Objectives

Presenting target group to useful working methods in order to structure and implement qualitative learning experiences in outdoor education.
Facilitating the exchange of experiences, concepts and methods of outdoor education and experiential education.
Carry out the expansion of intercultural awareness by offering the necessary space structured for sharing, experimenting and approaching of intercultural learning.
Improving abilities as team work, leadership, communication and problem solving among participants.
Setting up the ground for future partnership under Erasmus+ program.

Target group: youth workers, trainers, teachers, facilitators directly involved in working with teens and willing to implement the outdoor methods in their ongoing activities.

Project resolution

Lack of outdoor activities, sedentary or other unhealthy lifestyle manners are challenges that young people are facing in our present-day society. This project comes as an answer to these challenges and tries to bring solutions that youth workers can implement in their communities to increase awareness and address healthy lifestyles.

At the end of this project, participants will have a more in-depth understanding of the principles of outdoor education / experiential education and its applicability to work in their local communities.

For the Georgia stage, the project will take place in the Algeti National Park and will include hiking, survival and safety techniques in nature, nutrition sessions, etc.

For the Romanian stage, we will focus on adventure education and its applicability in youth work (useful learning tools, facilitation techniques, and practical applications of acquired knowledge and skills, etc.)
